AirFidelity Introduces EAF™ MESP® Air Filter Series, Expanding Washable, Energy-Saving HVAC Filtration for Residential and Commercial Buildings
AirFidelity, a U.S.-based clean-tech HVAC filtration company, today announced the launch of its EAF™ MESP® Air Filter Series, a new line of ultra-thin, washable electrostatic air filters designed to deliver high-efficiency air purification without the airflow penalties and recurring waste associated with traditional disposable filters.
The EAF Series expands AirFidelity’s proven MESP® (Micro-Electrostatic Precipitation) technology portfolio with added versatility for residential and light-commercial HVAC applications. Available in 1-inch and 2-inch thicknesses and more than 50 standard sizes, the EAF filters are engineered as direct replacements for conventional media filters used in fan coil units, ducted air-conditioning systems, and air handling units. Custom sizes are available to support retrofit and new-build installations.
“At AirFidelity, we believe effective air filtration should not come at the expense of energy efficiency, system performance, or sustainability,” said a company spokesperson. “The EAF Series eliminates the historic tradeoff between clean air and airflow, delivering long-term energy savings while virtually eliminating disposable filter waste.”
At the core of the EAF Series is AirFidelity’s patented MESP® technology, which uses a strong electric field generated within dielectric-wrapped microchannels to charge, capture, and neutralize airborne particles and microorganisms. Because the system operates without sparking or ozone generation, the EAF filters provide safe, continuous air purification suitable for homes, offices, and mixed-use buildings.
Unlike high-resistance HEPA or high-MERV media filters that load quickly and restrict airflow over time, EAF filters maintain a consistently low pressure drop, helping HVAC systems operate more efficiently while reducing fan energy consumption. Each filter consumes only a few watts of power and operates on low-voltage DC, allowing installation without dedicated high-capacity electrical infrastructure.
The EAF Series is also designed for simplicity and longevity. Filters install tool-free, lock securely in place, and can be removed and washed single-handedly. With a service life of up to 10 years, EAF filters significantly reduce maintenance costs, procurement cycles, and landfill waste compared to disposable alternatives.
For larger installations, the 2-inch EAF models feature AirFidelity’s T-Nail interlocking and parallel wiring system, enabling multiple filters to be mechanically and electrically connected for fast, scalable deployment in both new and existing HVAC systems.
All EAF filters are fully sealed, IP56-rated, resistant to high humidity environments up to 95% relative humidity, and ETL certified to meet global electrical safety standards. The ozone-free, negative-ion-based purification process makes the EAF Series safe for occupants with asthma or allergies, as well as for sensitive environments.
“With the EAF Series, we are extending our mission to make clean, energy-efficient indoor air accessible across a broader range of buildings,” the spokesperson added. “This launch reinforces AirFidelity’s commitment to sustainability, operational savings, and long-term HVAC performance.”
The AirFidelity EAF™ MESP® Air Filter Series is available beginning Q1 2026 through AirFidelity and authorized partners.
